Karen Baxter Song and Sign Makaton Tutor

Thank you for visiting my YouTube channel.

I have a background of 33 years in education, beginning in primary schools and moving into special education. I have a passion for singing and have used this throughout my career. I have also used Makaton signing extensively for the last 24 years. Makaton is a multimodal language programme developed to support people with communication difficulties, and is intended to be used alongside speech.

I am a licensed Makaton tutor and Ambassador, and I also use Makaton with song in my videos and Song and Sign groups.

The videos I make are for entertainment.

Where possible I use signs from the Makaton core vocabulary, and I try to keep the signing simple where the song or story allows it.
